Washington, D.C., United States – The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a maximum ordering value of $475 million for commercial satellite data acquisition.

The five-year contract, part of NASA’s Commercial Smallsat Data Acquisition (CSDA) program, was secured by Planet Labs PBC of San Francisco, Maxar Intelligence of Westminster, Colorado, and other, as announced by the agency NASA. This agreement aims to provide critical Earth observation data to advance scientific research and support federal agencies.

The contract, which commenced in 2023, and runs through 2028, marks the third iteration of the CSDA program. The CSDA program is managed by NASA’s Earth Science Data Systems Program.
